The Assembly Fund is a budget allocated to each ward to meet the local assembly priorities. For 2013/14 there is a fund of £15,000 and the arrangements for the spending are shown under the Local Assemblies Funding.
Here are details of previous years Sydenham Assembly Funding
Due to cuts from the ConDem Government the funding was reduced to £25,000 in 10/11 and £17,500 in 11/12 and 12/13 with a further reduction to £15,000 for 13/14.
Over the two years until 31 March 2010 the Council made available £70,000 for the Councillors and Assembly to decide on local projects to add value to the ward. The Locality Fund is £10,000 per year made available to your three councillors and the Mayor’s Fund is £25,000 per year for the Assembly to vote on before approval by the Mayor.
The expenditure is linked to the top priorities agreed by the Assembly:
More activities for children and young people
Improving community safety and tackling anti-social behaviour
Vibrant high street
Environmental improvements to provide a cleaner greener Sydenham
Production of the Sydenham Assembly Newsletter to go door to door - £1,300
